It's a simulation idea, and would be done on the new NBA LIVE 09( i will definitely get it when it comes out, ha) here are the steps to it: 1) Fantasy Draft There will be a random fantasy draft--> the COM's will draft players for all 30 teams. This way, everything will be randomized. The teams can then be posted. Screenshots can be taken if desired. 2) Trade Period- Same as usual. Everybody will be given their respective team's roster, and we can go from there. At the end of the trading period, then the rosters on the NBA LIVE sim will be adjusted. There will be a post of the final rosters to check if everything is correct. 3) Simulation- After rosters have been submitted, then the simulation begins. The regular season will be simulated accordingly. Screenshots, if desired, can be taken. League Leaders, stats, standings, all star votes, everything will be shown. Then comes playoff time, and again it will be simulated. That's my idea. Thoughts? *Anyway, I think I could dish out the time to simulate this if you guys trust me, ha. And I know the playoffs on this site usually start on Monday, but I would prefer if the trading period could end by the weekend preferably. Cus I have school, a lot of work you know  |

2k8 > Live 08
In every way thinkable.
Maybe it was just the PC version, but Live 08 had Josh McRoberts an 87 overall. That's just one of the many outrageous rankings they had.

He wasn't that great out of college, and they rated him among some of the better big men in the league, (Rasheed ect.) You just love to contradict whatever I say anyway, so I guess its typical of you to say that. |

What the hell did that come from? I was merely saying that most of the time, Madden/NBA Live raters rate rookies way too high.... and it is true. Don't deny it.

Hmm.. how about this?
Raptors as a whole are 69 overall, (ticked me off quite a bit)
Nets are top 6 with 82 overall
Magic are 68
Bobcats are 76
Best PG in the game is Gilbert Arenas at 91
Damon Stoudamire is 20th best PG.
Jose Calderon is 68?
AI is 91, tied with Arenas as best PG
Randy Foye is 18th best SG
Steve Francis is 17th best SG
Larry Hughes is an 80 overall
Garnett is just 92
Boozer is just 81
Shareef Abdur-Rahim is 75, also 20th ranked PF.
Shaq is 87, 3rd best center
Duncan is worst than Garnett at 91
Centers in general are rated way below what they should be, (Ie: Dalembert = 72, Kaman = 73, Okur = 72, Brad Miller = 76
There is no Dwight Howard in the top 20 centers
That enough for you? Most of them are NOT rookies at all.

I don't want to lock this thread because I do want other people to voice their opinions, not read you two's dumb irrelevant attacks on each other

I don't approve of simulating the draft... we should do it by a chat room draft or something.. and then you insert the rosters into NBA Live or 2k w/e.... That would probably take decades to complete, doubt we can get so many GMs on at the same time. It's just a preliminary thought though, this sim thing. Need more opinions |

One problem that I see is
This process would take a lot of time and commitment from the individual doing the sims. Obviously changes would need to be made to the rosters the games then would be simmed.
Let's say the Vin is the one doing the simming process and something comes up and it can't be completed. Then the whole league is left without a season.
I am not saying that I don't trust Vin to finish, just that I know that unexpected things happen in life and can effect even the best of intentions.
Edit--Forgot to mention that overall I think this is a great idea and wished I had the time to offer to help out with simming but that isn't possible for me right now.

This is a great idea, ive always been a 2k fan over live though, but i dont mind either way.
I dono if i would be able to help with the simming and taking all the screenshots as i only have the games on playstation.

I can help Vin with it. We planned to get Live 09 so I can kick his butt in it anyways. We can split up duties if it's too strenuous for him.
My main concern is whether or not the rosters will be balanced to suit Quick GM after the random draft. I suggest a random roster like what we have here and input that into the game.

We've done this before in the beginning seasons and I am a fan so I'll talk to the Mods and the GM's willing to do the simming And see what we can come up with.
PS: Does anyone know RidonKs on ISH. He said he'd be willing to join the league again if we did it this way and he'd do some simming also. PM me if you know how to get a hold of him.
