Well was doing a little thinking. And thought up. How about doing the draft while Quickgm is still going on. As Camino said, a draft would take like 3 days per round. We could still have Quickgm going on while we draft. And when we actually finish the draft, we could start it. Just a thought. ;D

I think this is the only feasible way to have a draft. Although we might not finish it until season 30+, haha.

3 days per round would be a low estimate. Even though people are pretty active in this league, I would put each round at about 1 week and it will become slower as we progress as big name players drop off the board. It would also be confusing if you're running multiple seasons throughout the draft and trying to keep track of players taken and whatnot.

Hmm Players taken and whatnot is not a problem. Well it really depends on the intelligence of the GMS in this league. I'm sure people will remember the players they have picked. I mean its really not hard you know? Keeping a list wouldnt be hard. I mean it would show the players that have been picked already.

Big factor is still time and that one's unavoidable. We can see what some others have to say about it, but these things never work out the way people idealize them to

i think this probably a good idea, and probably the only way of doing a draft! doing it while a season is on going keeps interest elsewhere on the site so everything isn't centered around the draft!

With 30 GMs, I estimate one round to last over a month. Too time consuming. Why don't people realize that a draft is hardly possible unless you want a round to last a month or two?

With 30 GMs. Most people log in everyday, usually. The people that want to do the draft, can do the draft. And we would have a time limit for a draft pick. Say.. 12 hours? Thats just a guess, so even if you live on the other side of the world, you could get a chance. Plus you could leave a list of who you want to draft in order, and if they're still available, you get them, even if you miss the time. What we could do is, have everybody (who wants to do the draft) Make a list of about..20 people or so of who they want in order of the round. That will help a bit, some might get who they want, some might not. We go from there. We could use the QuickGm Rosters/Salaries as a helpful list for the people we want to draft. Since Quickgm has the higher salary players as better/more value players, its like having them as first pick. And you could use that list to make your own list by going down the salary.

Autodrafting is no fun though, I think anyone that's ever played a fantasy league can attest to that. Truthfully it's key at times, but I think the utility of leaving lists comes when you're like 1-3 picks away from being OTC and you think you'll be gone for a while, that way you know pretty much who's gonna be there at all and it makes the unpredictability factor that makes autodrafting/leaving lists undesirable go away. Telling someone to leave a list when they're like 20 picks away from being OTC is no fun.

wozza ia right! and who cares if we fail at least it's a change and we'll give it a good go!! lol, I guess if you guys can get enough people interested (being 20+), we can talk it over with Camino and see if he'll give it a go. I still highly doubt this is gonna happen, but I'll give you guys the slightest hope that it will ;D

it might be worth a shot--as long as it doesn't interfere with normal schedule of our seasons
