Ownership
~Everybody will be given a roster of random player. You will trade players to make the best possible 10 player team under $50 million. THERE WILL BE NO TANKING, EACH TEAM MUST TRY TO WIN. At the end of trading each team will go against another team in a poll where the rest of the league votes on which team they think is the better team. It will be a tournament style bracket. Voting will continue until a winner is determined. |
General
~One team per Individual. You can not run multiple teams. People doing so will be banned. |
Rosters and Salaries
~Everyone starts with a random roster of players. ~Final roster size is a maximum of 10 players by tournament time. ~Salary Cap is $50 million for your final 10 player roster by tournament time. ~Keep your "Team Roster" up to date at all time. ~When Trading has stopped I will ask everyone to place there final rosters, salaries and strategy(optional) in the Divisional Playoffs board. ~Please use this EXACT prototype! Example: Sacramento Kings Starters PG Jason Williams $4 SG Richard Hamilton $10 SF Jason Kapono $3 FC Dwight Howard $17 FC Tyson Chandler $7 Starter Salary: $41 Bench PG Damon Jones $1 G Larry Hughes $3 GF Trenton Hassel $1 F Linas Kleiza $3 C Jamaal Magloire $1 Total Salary: $50 Inactive PG Charlie Bell $2 Eric Piatkowski $1 GF Keith Bogans $3 Trades Pending Kings Receive: Robert Horry $1 Jorge Garbajosa $3 Hawks Receive: Eric Piatwoski $1 Charlie Bell $2 ~If your 5 starters and 5 bench player are over the $50 million cap when the tournament begins I will replace the player that puts you over the cap with an inactive player to put you back under the cap. |
Trades
~Each team is given about 10 days to make as many trades as possible. ~If the higher end of the trade equals: -$5,000,000 or less the 2 parties have to be within $1,000,000 of each other. -$5,500,000 to $10,000,000 the 2 parties have to be within $2,000,000 of each other. -$10,500,000 to $15,000,000 the 2 parties have to be within $3,000,000 of each other. -$15,500,000 to $20,000,000 the 2 parties have to be within $4,000,000 of each other. -$20,500,000 and above the 2 parties have to be within $5,000,000 of each other. ~If there is a trade involving more than 2 parties, Every team has to be within the above guidelines with at least one other team involved. Example: Kings receive: Charlie Bell $2 Sonics receive: Damon Jones $1 Clippers receive: Tim Thomas $3 ~Players who's salaries equal $1 million may be traded without a player in return. ~After trade has been agreed on, one of the parties must create a thread in the "Trades" Board with the title being that of the teams involved in the trade. In the description place the players being traded with the salaries. Then Both parties have to post a message in that thread confirming there acceptance of the trade. ~Trades pending for more than 24 hours will be deleted. ~Trades must be approved by a Moderator before you can modify you roster. |
Tournament
~The Tournament will last 1 days per round. ~There will be 2 brackets. 1 for the Eastern Conference and 1 for the Western Conference. ~I will create a poll for each game. ~There are 5 rounds: Divisional Playoffs, Round 1, Round 2, Conference Finals, Finals. ~In the Divisional Playoffs you vote vote for the top 2 teams in each division. ~Teams will be seated by percentage of votes received and compared to the Conference. ~Since there is an uneven amount of teams in each conference, there will be given a bye to an active team who has the lowest salary in the first round.(Consolation Bracket only) ~Tiebreakers - Roster Salary (Lowest) - Starters Salary (Lowest) - Divisional Ranking (Divisional Playoffs Only) - Previous votes accumulated ~If a tie occurs in the Divisional Playoffs, Tiebreakers above apply. However if they are all the same then a poll will be taken between the tied teams. |
Ownership
~Ownership is a newer feature added for long time players to be able to retain their team upon a short (or extended) absence. Of course if you disappear without any announcement, a team may be taken from you and given to another active GM's request. ~Basically it allows GMs to switch around and try out new teams with an insurance to switch back at some point. ~To obtain ownership you had to have managed that team during the previous season. Then you may ask for it and it will almost always be granted to you. The only scenario in which it may not occur is if there is already an Owner and he is on leave or "trying out" a different team. |
