Season 5
Chicago Bulls
Starters: PG - Jason Kidd $15 SG - Rudy Gay $8 SF - Peja Stojakovic $7 PF - Chris Wilcox $4 C - Andris Biedrins $6
Bench: FC - Anderson Varejao $2 G - Chris Duhon $2 G - Eddie House $3 F - Jared Dudley $2 F - Julian Wright $1
TOTAL: $50
Depth Chart:
PG: Jason Kidd, Chris Duhon, Eddie House SG: Rudy Gay, Eddie House, Chris Duhon SF: Peja Stojakovic, Rudy Gay, Jared Dudley PF: Chris Wilcox, Anderson Varejao, Julian Wright/Jared Dudley C: Andris Biedrins, Anderson Varejao, Chris Wilcox
Strategy:
Offense:
On offense, most everything will be run through Jason Kidd. He is still THE guy when it comes to talking about point guards and floor generals in the NBA. He's quick and big, so he can get inside at will and create for his teammates. If I need a post player, he can provide that as well. With Rudy Gay and Peja running the wings, Kidd will have a field day with guys to kick too and lob up for alley-oops. Wilcox and Biedrins aren't bad either on the front line. Wilcox is athletic enough to run as well and Biedrins is more refined on the post than most think (while also being one of the best cutting big men in the league). Kidd is still the guy who breaks down defenses better than anyone in the league in both the half court and full court game. Off the bench, Varejao and House will be the sparks while Duhon can manage a game in his own right. The offense is very balanced, but Rudy Gay is a superstar-to-be and in an offense that Jason Kidd can create openings for him, he will roam free and show his incredible talent.
Defense:
No one plays a Zone defense in the NBA unless they have bad individual defensive players (Defensive 3 seconds makes it extremely difficult to pull off as well). These Bulls are pretty good individual defenders with Jason Kidd leading the perimeter defense as a past All-Defensive player and Rudy Gay's athleticism creating havoc stealing balls and blocking shots. On the post, Chris Wilcox and Andris Biedrins are athletic enough and good enough to bang with most other bigs. Peja is the weak link on my starting lineup, but the other guys can help him out and whoever has to guard him on offense will be tired chasing him around off screens and he can guard that player on offense (of whoever is the weak offensive player on the opposing team as there will usually be at least one). From the bench standpoint, I have an undersized backcourt with Eddie House and Chris Duhon, but I don't believe I will have both on the court at the same time. Since Jason Kidd a larger point guard, my plan is to bring House off the bench at guard 1st and have him be instant offense at the midpoint in the 1st quarter, taking out Peja and sliding Rudy to the 3. Later on in the 1st or beginning of the 2nd, Jason Kidd and/or Rudy Gay will come out for Chris Duhon and Peja. This way I can make sure my lineup isn't undersized even with the 2 small guards because of my bigger starting SG and SF (Gay and Peja). Varejao is a hustler and great energy guys off the bench and he will be my main big for both Biedrins and Wilcox. I also aimed for good-character guys that might detract from the team or "not try" on defense, but these guys are all for the most part hustle and give it their all on every possession, offense AND defense.
The Rest:
C - Jake Voskuhl 1 G - Quincy Douby 1 G - Gabe Pruitt 3

Season 7
Chicago Bulls
~Starters~ C - Marcus Camby $14 PF - Chris Wilcox $4 SF - Hedo Turkoglu $8 SG - Luther Head $2 PG - Mo Williams $6 $34
~Bench~ G - Leandro Barbosa $7 F/C - Nick Collison $4 G/F - Trevor Ariza $2 G - Javaris Crittenton $1 F/C - Chuck Hayes $2 $16
Total Salary: $50
Depth Chart: PG: Mo Williams/Leandro Barbosa/Javaris Crittenton SG: Luther Head/Leandro Barbosa/Trevor Ariza SF: Hedo Turkoglu/Trevor Ariza PF: Chris Wilcox/Nick Collison/Chuck Hayes C: Marcus Camby/Nick Collison/Chris Wilcox
~Strategy~
Offensive: An extremely balanced attack featuring Mo Williams and Hedo Turkoglu as the primary ball-handlers and scorers. Turkoglu has shown a knack for taking over games in the 4th quarter this season and probably should be an All-Star by all means. Luther Head will hang around the 3-point line most of the time and rain jumpers, but is fully capable of creating offense as well. With Wilcox, Collison and Camby as my BIG trio, they'll be able to keep the defense at least honest. Barbosa off the bench speaks for itself. As a leading 6th man candidate every year, he just creates all sorts of problems with his speed and ability to get to the basket and score.
Defensive: On D, the anchor relies on my bigs. Camby was, and probably will be again, the DPOY, and Wilcox, Collison and Hayes are all hustle defenders who are all solid and do enough little things to create turnovers and frustrate the opposing team. On the perimeter, I'm a little small at one wing with Head, but he's still 6'3" and if he's got issues, I've got an athletic wing off the bench in Ariza, who's a good on-ball defender. I don't have any slackers on D on this squad so I don't think closing out will be an issue. If the player is to get into the lane, I think Camby's defensive presence should help a bit for altering or blocking shots.

Season 10 Champion
"Best Quick GM Team of All Time"
Chicago Bulls
~Starters~ C - Andrew Bynum PF - Rasheed Wallace SF - Rudy Gay SG - Michael Finley PG - Chauncey Billups
Starters' Salary = $39
~Bench~ G - Jordan Farmar G - Sasha Vujacic G/F - Ime Udoka F/C - Ronny Turiaf C - Joel Pryzbilla
Total Salary = $49
~Strategy~ Offense: This team is led by veterans Chauncey Billups, Rasheed Wallace and Michael Finley, all of whom have won an NBA Championship. Chauncey Billups is an elite floor general who can make things happen by controlling the tempo and by making big shots. He's surrounded by all sorts of talent on the first team and secondary unit. Rasheed Wallace and Andrew Bynum provide a fantastic 1-2 punch in the post. There wouldn't be any worries about spacing either since Wallace is a proven outside shooter who doesn't hesitate to bomb the trey ball. Rudy Gay is the young, flashy guy on this team who can slash and make things happen with his uber-athletic ability. He's a star-in-waiting and with great vets around him (especially Michael Finley who can see a younger, more talented version of himself in Gay), Rudy Gay couldn't find himself in a better situation. The bench is versatile and deep. Farmar and Vujacic are both young guards who can push the tempo of the game giving the opposing team a different look than the starters (similar to what the Lakers have done this whole season). Both guys have come into their own this season and are unafraid to take and make big shots while in the game. Ronny Turiaf is a great energy guy who has a solid mid-range jumper of his own and can score efficiently enough to provide a spark from time to time. As simple as it seems, 3 guys on this team command a double team in the post (Billups, Wallace, Bynum), and when doubled, there are more than enough shooters surrounding them at all times (Billups, Wallace, Finley, Gay, Farmar, Vujacic, Udoka) to make any defense scramble.
Defense: This team might actually be better defensively than offensively, which is scary. There are great individual and team defensive players here. It all begins with the big men. Rasheed Wallace and Andrew Bynum provide that "twin towers" interior that will swat away a ton shots and be an intimidating force. If either get in foul trouble, there are still great defensive bigs off the bench in Ronny Turiaf and Joel Przybilla to replace them. Turiaf is known for his active play and would bother most big men and Przybilla is in the NBA for his shot-blocking and rebounding prowess. On the perimeter, there's not much drop-off. Rudy Gay has proven himself to be one of those wings who can get steals and block shots. On this defense, he's protected by the big guys inside so he can gamble for breakaway lay-ups and dunks. Billups on the other hand is a big Point Guard and has proven himself able to stay with just about any guy in the league. On the bench, Farmar and Vujacic are both scrappy, quick defenders who have shown the ability to irk their opponents into bad decisions, while Ime Udoka is turning into a premier perimeter defender (the Spurs see their next Bruce Bowen in him). He's the X-factor for the Kobe's and Lebron's should the opposing team have a premier wing player. Defense wins championships and there is no shortage of defense on this squad.

Season 11 Champion
Chicago Bulls
~Starters~ C - Andris Biedrins PF - David West SF - Michael Finley SG - Manu Ginobili PG - Tony Parker
Starters' Salary = $41
~Bench~ SG - Kareem Rush G - Jordan Farmar F/C - Josh Boone G/F - Ime Udoka F/C - Michael Doleac
Total Salary = $50
~Strategy~ Offensive: A team led by arguably the (real-life) best backcourt in the league, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili, this team is athletic and smart. Able to play both in the open court and halfcourt, scoring will not be a problem. Tony Parker has shown his ability to be a Championship Point Guard and teamed up Shooting Guard Manu Ginobili, this 2-some has the skillset and ability to score and run an offense effectively. Then you add in the post factor with a high post guy like David West who can shoot that patented 17'-18' jumper from anywhere on the floor and post up with his strength. He's also got Andris Biedrins to help him out, who will make sure no one gets double teams with his offensive rebounding ability. Not only that, but he's also skilled around the basket with post moves of his own. Then there's Michael Finley, who can extend the defense with his sharpshooting as well. He also provides leadership on and off the court. The bench is solid. Farmar can spell Parker from time to time handling the ball and making big shots. He's athletic enough to push the tempo and skilled enough to run a halfcourt set. Rush is a quick scorer, coming off the bench as he did this season for Indiana. Boone and Doleac can be brought in for energy, putbacks and Doleac has the ability to hit the mid-range jumpshot as well. An efficient offense can be run with this squad since they can do it all. There's the inside presence, the outside shooting, the playmaking and most importantly, there are leaders who are confident and experienced enough to know how to play down the stretch and make clutch plays in key situations.
Defensive: This is a great defensive team. Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili can handle most perimeter players in the league, as they've shown over their careers. Both guys are solid man-to-man defenders because of their quickness and size. Finley can be replaced with Udoka at any point and then Udoka can take pressure off of Manu by handling the opponent's best perimeter threat, while having the strength to keep guys like Pierce and Lebron from posting up. David West is a fine post defender and is versatile enough to even guard perimeter bigs. This takes a ton of pressure off of Biedrins, who can be a help-side shotblocker and protector of the paint, which he is fine at doing. He's a legit 7-footer and has long arms. If ever faced with 2 great post scorers, Josh Boone or Michael Doleac can be brought off the bench to handle one of them. Boone is a guy known for his defensive prowess and Doleac is a seasoned veteran who can bang with the best of them. Foul trouble should not be an issue with these guys off the bench. Most players can be covered with this defense and if a problem arises, there is enough talent and versatility to bring in someone else to help out.

Season 12
Chicago Bulls
~Starters~ C - Samuel Dalembert PF - Luis Scola SF - Grant Hill SG - Kobe Bryant PG - Beno Udrih
Starters' Salary = $39
~Bench~ G - Delonte West C - Erick Dampier G/F - Quinton Ross G - Keyon Dooling F/C - Chuck Hayes
Total Salary = $50
~Strategy~ Offense: Well, on offense it might be kind of obvious, most of the plays will be run through the MVP and most dynamic, explosive scorer in the league, Kobe Bryant. He can score and set up his talented and versatile teammates on this team. Beno Udrih, Grant Hill and Luis Scola are all great jumpshooters and will space the floor for Kobe to roam. Samuel Dalembert is a long presence in the middle who can get putbacks and catch alley-oops. Besides shooting, the players around Kobe are also incredibly versatile. Udrih and Hill are both fine ball-handlers who can get people involved and Scola is a guy who just knows how to play the game. He can get involved in the pick-and-roll and use his skills to pop out for the jumper or cut and get an easy lay-in. The bench is specialized for defense, but Delonte West and Keyon Dooling are pace-changers who can push the tempo and bring different looks. Dampier and Hayes are hustle big men who can bring energy by grabbing a ton of rebounds and sparking the fast break. When it comes down to it, Kobe will take over a game when he's needed to and he will have veterans that he can trust to make plays when he doesn't have an opening.
Defense: Defense is the side of the ball where this team will take advantage of matchups. Udrih is the only below average defender in the starting rotation and he can be replaced at any point by the longer Delonte West or quicker Keyon Dooling. Everyone knows Kobe is the best player in the game and being a perennial All-NBA Defensive 1st Teamer goes into that. Grant Hill is still a fine defender (He guarded Tony Parker in that SA/PHX series before he got hurt) and can still stay in front of most of the quick guys in the league. He's older now, but he's also smarter and craftier. Scola is a great one-on-one post defender and would complement a guy like Samuel Dalembert perfectly. Luis moves well and is strong enough to bang with the best of them, while Sam can play help-side defense and block shots, which what he's good at. Off the bench, Ross can relieve Hill at any time to guard the opposing team's top perimeter threat, which is always helpful. Hayes is a solid defender at his size and plays much bigger than his 6'6" listing. He's the ultimate hustle guy - he draws charges, grabs rebounds and saves the ball whenever he's in the vicinity. Dampier is a great center option off the bench as he can provide great defense if either Scola or Dalembert get in foul trouble. This team will trap their opponents and will not find itself in many mismatch situations.
- #5 Eastern Conference Seed (11 Votes) - Championship 1st Round Loss to Cleveland Cavaliers (Eventual Conference Finalist)
