anyone watch the game,
i expect great things from this guy, he is a beast
lebron james of point guards. imo
so quick, so strong, good tempo, improving iq every game XD
celtics shud bounce bak when the big ticket comes back but.
anythoughts on the game so far.
also watched the dallas spurs game, tony parker went quiet after first quater.
Dallas just to much for spurs, down low.
Dampier got alot from offensive rebounds, and played great d.
wuda expect a bit more from spurs but, seems like they need ginobli as a first/2nd option during crunch times.
Disccusion!!! wanted

For Derrick Rose, he will be very good. Very quick, athletic, a passer who can score. He will be good in furture to come but I do feel he will slow down a little bit in the post-season for this season. well for the Spurs and Celtics, they are missing huge pieces to their team. Celtics are missing arguably the best defender in the NBA in Kevin Garnett and the Spurs are missing one of their leading scorers in Manu Ginobli. Both guys have impacts to their teams and its hard to go and win a championship while missing one of your best players. Neither one of these teams will lose their series imo but if one would lose I think it would be the Spurs because Dallas is so tough and the Western Conference is a tough conference. I still believe the Celtics will win the series against Chicago but yesterday was a wake up call to the entire team. Ray Allen wasn't effective at all only shooting something like 1-10 and Pierce wasn't much better. To consider those guys were having off nights and they still lost by 2, I think they can bounce back in the series to win the next 4 games out of 5 to make it 4-2 Boston imo. Ray Allen is showing how he was playing in last year's playoff's but i feel he will bounce back as well as Pierce. Spurs and Celtics are capable of making it to the Conference Finals but they need their hurt players to make it all the way to the Finals. I've heard different reports but some say if the Celtics were to make it to the Finals KG could be able to come back then but I highly doubt it. Both teams will be back next season and be hungry to surge into the 2010 playoffs.

Derrick Rose's performance have shown us QuickGM'ers that, in fact, rookie PG's can perform in the playoffs. One of the main reasons he was able to get into the paint at will throughout the game was due to the absence of Garnett. If KG wasn't injured, no way would Rose be tying Kareem for the rookie playoff points record. But, nevertheless, what a performance by Rose, and he's only 20 years old!

3 road wins in 4 games. That definitely tell us something.
Great game by Yao in Portland, shooting 9/9 from the field, 6/6 from the line, performing 24 point, in only 24 minutes. The guy simply dominated, and showed that a Center can be dominant and not be all about the strenght. Yao is definitely the best Center in the league, IMO. And the most impressive thing is that he's a 80%+ free throw shooter.
Oh, and a great win by the Mavs. Totally deserved. Timmy and Tony were not enough to stop the entire Mavs team. Great work by Carlisle.

Billups onfire = ridiculous
What a game!
Josh Smith did a great job too, against Miami. D-Wade a bit weak, but no one helped the guy. A player can't do all for himself.
I hope my Celtics don't play arround again, and play for real tonight.

Without KG that team is weak.. imo not only does the paint become vacant, but the team spirit is significantly diminished. The Bulls could pull another one.

nice play that they ran for him too noah did actually a really good job of contesting it too after switchin on all of those screens haha tht was crazy defence... how the hell did Ray get tht off???!!! then again, the Bulls took the Cs to the very last possesion in Boston Garden... this is HUGE confidence going back to Chi Town... i hope they get the 2 home games and pull off an upset...

Boston needs to start the next game strongly, in order to slow down Chicago's pace. Pierce needs to miss less shots, Ray needs to show up in the first-half, and the rest of the team need to play well and their role. Only in that way the miss of KG will be less felt.

I cant believe it turns out to be the best series. DelNegro better put his shit together in managing his Time-Outs. Back to back games with NO TIME OUT AT THE END OF THE GAME!!

watching Celtics/Bulls game 2 now... something i observed in the opening quarter... Bulls are going after EVERY shot by the Cs, resulting in several blocked shots, but the thing is, 2 or 3 of this shot blockers are focused on denying the shot, that the missed/blocked shot ended up in the opponents hand... not that its a bad thing, they're intimidating the defending champs, so i say the rebounding differential is overrated... Bulls were active on D and i loved it, they just have to play smarter... im really starting to like how this team runs!

actually the Magic is easier than the Bulls...They aren't as fast, better matchups for the Celtics, and not as young as the Bulls are where the Bulls had a lot of energy to use to give to the Celtics.
Rondo vs Alston Allen vs Reddick Pierce vs Turkoglu Davis vs Lewis Perkins vs Howard
i only see 1 matchup where the Celtics will lose at which is Perkins vs Howard but i believe that Perkins will hold his own. you might look at it and say that Davis will get owned by Lewis but personally i'd rather have Davis over Lewis. the only thing that Lewis has a advantage on over big baby is 3 point shooting. Davis has developed a nice jumpshot that has been effective thanks in part to Kevin Garnett for working with him on it, can rebound, excellent hustle and plain out gives his all. not saying that Lewis is a bad player but i dont think he will be the x-factor in this series.
Rondo will own Alston on the court with his speed, Alston isn't slow but Rondo has a huge advantage over him imo.
Allen matched up with Reddick is only a shoot around for Allen. then House coming off the bench who has picked it up last couple games againt Lee which could be a good match up.
Pierce vs Hedo....i give it to Pierce. yes Hedo has 3's and all that but Pierce is Pierce and he wont be able to stop Pierce as shown in the past. Hedo has those last minute shots and shooting 3's and is a little bitch after he makes one thinking hes the best in the world but i think Pierce will overpower Hedo in the series.
Celtics in 7
